The J.D. Power APEAL Study, now in its 22nd year, measures how gratifying a vehicle is to own and drive based upon customer assessments of 77 vehicle attributes. Customers are surveyed after 90 days of ownership, at the same time as with the company's Initial Quality Survey. J.D. Power asserts that vehicles with the most appeal enjoy greater owner loyalty, spend less time on dealer lots and sell for higher prices.
