Compare the Nissan Altima to the Competition

With More Passenger Space, More Room for Cargo, and a Greater Fuel Range, the Altima is the Clear Favorite
- Cargo space. On the surface, the Nissan Altima and the Toyota Camry seem to offer Pooler and Garden City drivers similar qualities and a similar ride. Both have all-wheel drive available as an option. Both have different levels of power and engines to choose from, and both have nearly identical exterior measurements. However, the Altima maximizes its interior space better than the Camry. For example, Grainger Nissan of Savannah customers can look forward to more cargo space in their Nissan than the Toyota car has. Bring more of the gear that's important to you, from groceries to suitcases, in the Altima rather than the Camry.
- Passenger space. Not only can the Nissan Altima help you carry more gear, it also delivers a ride that's more comfortable on the inside, for both you and your passengers. The Nissan Altima offers more shoulder and elbow room throughout its cabin, and it has greater amounts of legroom, especially in the front seat.
- Fuel capacity and range. Who doesn't like to go further on a tank of gas? With the Nissan Altima equipped with the base four-cylinder engine, Bluffton, SC drivers will find they can travel 454 miles in the city and 632 miles on the highway, thanks to a fuel capacity of more than 16 gallons. The Toyota Camry, on the other hand, holds just 15.8 gallons and travels 442 miles in the city and 616 miles on the highway per fill up.
- Standard features. While both sedans deliver a base model that's well-equipped with the advanced safety features Richmond Hill drivers want, the Nissan Altima has a longer list of standard tech features, as well as a longer list of options you can order starting right at the base model. For example, every Altima gets a remote engine start system, keyless entry, and keyless ignition. However, Camry drivers won't get any of these as standard amenities and won't find them available until higher up in the lineup.
More Options and More Space are Highlights that Set the Altima Apart
- All-wheel drive. In recent years, the perennially popular Nissan Altima began to include all-wheel drive as an option for Garden City and Bluffton, SC drivers to add on for more control, traction, and peace of mind. The AWD equipped Altima is available at Grainger Nissan of Savannah, but you won't find this welcome feature on any Honda Civic sedan, which is strictly a front-wheel drive car.
- Power and performance. Both well-known sedans give Richmond Hill and Pooler drivers a couple of different engine options to choose from. But you'll get more power and a higher output from both Altima engines than the Honda Civic. Look for a range of power ratings for the Altima, depending on your configuration, from 188 horsepower to 248 horsepower. Meanwhile, the Honda Civic sedan's two engine options range from 174 horsepower to 180 horsepower, neither of which competes with the output of our Altima.

- Interior space. From the amount of cargo room in its trunk, to the amounts of headroom, legroom, and shoulder room in its cabin, the Nissan Altima offers a more spacious interior than the Honda Civic that's more accommodating and more comfortable.
- Fuel range and capacity. With a bigger fuel tank, holding 16.2 gallons compared to the Civic's 12.4 gallons, the Nissan Altima can help you travel far and wide every time you fill up. In fact, the Altima averages 454 miles in the city and 632 miles on the highway per tank of gas, while the Honda Civic gets around 372 miles in the city and 471 miles on the highway per fill up.
- Standard features. The Nissan Altima also outperforms the Honda Civic in terms of features and amenities. While the Altima has a standard seven-inch touchscreen interface, keyless entry and ignition, and a remote engine start system, the Civic starts with just a five-inch screen and pushes the other amenities to higher trim levels rather than offer them as standard equipment.

All-Wheel Drive, A Boost in Power, and Advanced Safety Features Set the Altima Apart
- All-wheel drive. For Richmond Hill and Pooler drivers who like the extra security and added peace of mind of all-wheel drive when the roads are wet and the rainy weather hits, the Nissan Altima is the way to go. This popular car, which we have in stock at Grainger Nissan of Savannah, recently added all-wheel drive as an option for the first time a couple years ago. But the Chevy Malibu, on the other hand, is strictly a front-wheel drive car with no AWD option.
- Standard safety amenities. A lot has changed since the Altima and the Malibu first debuted on the roads in and around Bluffton, SC decades ago. One of the biggest changes in automotive engineering has been the level of cutting-edge technology that goes into the safety features on many models. When you consider the Altima and the Malibu side by side, you'll find that the Nissan gets many of the latest, groundbreaking safety features as standard equipment. But with the Chevy Malibu, you have to move up in trims or opt for expensive add-on packages to get them.
- Power and performance. Both mid-sized sedans have multiple engine options available for Garden City drivers to choose between. But the Nissan Altima has more power available than the Malibu, with a range of 188 horsepower for its entry-level powertrain, to 248 horsepower with its optional upgrade. The Chevy sedan starts at a lower output, with 160 horsepower, although it, like the Nissan Altima, also offers an impressive upgrade on upper trims.
- Passenger space. Even your tallest friends will be more comfortable in the Nissan Altima over the Chevy Malibu, thanks to the Altima sedan's added headroom and legroom, which is more spacious than the Malibu, especially in the front seat.
